Central heating, tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the exceptionally comfortable bed. Plenty of food at the plentiful breakfast. Marvellous position very close to the water front...

choose deluxe king room with comfortable bed. particularly good and stunning location right by a fish and chip shop and a pub which sells food and a quiet residential area, i felt safe. and it's just a pleasant stroll away from carl's jr, ate there once or twice.

The staff were miserable, didn't expect that coming.

i was almost going to give a positive review, but alas, the dated room with no blackout curtains, made my stay less than ideal, waking up at 4:30 a.m. was a good surprise, and don't even get me started on the sparse parking situation, a complimentary gesture would have been a lovely touch.

Well decorated, airy unit with comfortable bed, a kettle, for example. A calm area, incredible location near a quiet area, very close to the sea which is one street away, a fish and chip shop and a pub which sells food, and the sea which is one street away.

Location: the hotel was close to the water front and pubs. Moreover, it was about 5 mins walk from Browndown Point.

The owner was super friendly and always checked in on us. The rooms were clean, and we appreciated the fresh milk for our drinks. Perfect for exploring local spots like the beach and nearby parks. Would totally recommend for a fun getaway!

We didn't have breakfast since we had plans elsewhere, but it's worth noting they brought fresh milk in the morning, a nice touch.

What a lovely stay! Enjoyed the delicious breakfast sandwiches delivered to my room each morning and the good sea view right from my window. Just be mindful of the limited parking.

Couple getaway with a twist

The parking outside was a real bonus too, made things easy.

Avon Manor impressed me with its charming character. The clean Beautiful Double Room featured interesting mid-century furniture. I appreciated the personalized service. The owners were genuinely helpful and checked in on me . Fresh milk for my drinks was a thoughtful gesture. Delicious breakfast sandwiches were delivered to my room. The room lacked blackout curtains, waking me up early when sunlight streamed in. The ensuite was a bit cramped, and I found the lighting could have been better. Parking was limited, and I struggled to find a spot on one evening. A pleasant stay with room for enhancements.

The room had interesting mid-century furniture. The location offered plenty of on-road parking in a quiet area.

Rooms exhibit signs of age, with dated decor and old duvet covers that don't match modern expectations. The en-suite facilities are quite cramped, leaving little space to maneuver, and breakfast options can be quite lacking, with minimal choices like sandwiches delivered to your door. Observations indicate the need for better maintenance, as frayed towels and carpets had seen better days.

Would definitely recommend for a short visit

Clean room, friendly staff, the location is superb for exploring local attractions like the submarine museum and offers easy access to Portsmouth ferries.
